Atlanta Cracker, 1940s-1950s

25 vintage newsphotos of a significant name as a symbol of the anti-Jackie Robinson sentiment on the 1947 Brooklyn Dodgers. Includes images the magical 1941 and 1947 seasons, his 1947 World Series home run, a young Carl Furillo in 1946, and others from his days with the Brooklyn Dodgers, Detroit Tigers and Atlanta Crackers.
