This is a great collection with a variety of news service photographs capturing a host of Yankee players from 1932-1939. There are several player portraits (40%), staged field shots (20%), and of course on field action shots (40%). The photographs vary in size and measure 5 x 7" (25%), 6 x 8" (25%) and 7 x 9 (40%) and the remaining (10%) are odd sized, some slightly larger, some smaller. Some of the key players featured are Johnny Murphy, Joe Glenn, Monte Pearson, and Manager Joe McCarthy. The quality of the collection is overall VG+ with some minor wrinkling, edge wear, age discoloration and editorial markings, some of the individual photographs grade a bit better, with sharp clear color and exceptional paper quality. This is a nice compilation of photographs of some of those players that had a huge impact on the team but in history have been a bit overshadowed by some of the era's truly phenomenal Yankee players.
