After decades of heartache for the Brooklyn faithful, usually at the hands of their tormenters from The Bronx, the Dodgers finally defeated their nemesis the NY Yankees in seven games in front of a stunned crowd at The Stadium. The game was called on TV by Mel Allen and Vin Scully. The MVP was Johnny Podres who has triple signed this NY Daily Mirror front page dated October 5, 1955. The Dodgers no longer had to wait until next year. The headline reads "Next Year is Now....Podres is Hero of 2-0 Win." Front Page is framed measuring 17" x 21".
