Joaquin Andujar carried the 1982 St. Louis Cardinals. He blossomed under the Cardinal pitching coach Hub Kittle, as he went 15-10 for a 2.47 ERA during the regular 1982 season. This conglomeration of seventeen stat balls came from Joaquin’s personal collection and each ball has been meticulously hand scribed possibly by Andujar himself with his pitching stats relating to that particular game. Grouping includes one ball for each of his 15 regular season wins. In postseason play, Andujar became the stopper for the Cardinals, winning both the National League pennant-clinching game against the Braves and capturing the seventh game of the World Series against the Brewers. This collection includes the win ball for the Braves game but not the Brewers. The final ball represents his 200th inning pitched in the Majors. This is an amazing chronicling of one of the amazing St. Louis Cardinal championship seasons.
