Luke Appling had one of the longest short stop careers in MLB history playing for the Chicago White Sox from 1930-1950.  This 4 x 6” photograph was taken by legendary sports photographer George Burke and is in EX condition.  The signature across the bottom half of the photo is written in black ink and grades an  8.5 out of 10.  There are no tears or wrinkles and the color contrast is VG for an image of this age.  The photograph is JSA authenticated.
