This collection contains a variey of wire photos, the majority of which are ring action photos from such infamous bouts as the one with Vince Martinez and of course the fight where Akins surrendered his welterweight championship title to Don Jordan in 1958. Also included in the collection are several shots of the fighter in training and also some publicity shots of Akins with his wife and children. The photos range in size from 7 x 9" and 8.5 x 12" and the quality varies from G to EX with only some minor wrinkling and age spotting. Some of the photos have the original new clippings adhered to the verso.
