The Boston Baseball Writers Association recognized Jimmie Foxx as the outstanding Red Sox player of the 1938 season. This is a program cover from the awards dinner in 1939, featuring an illustration of Jimmie Foxx by the legendary Gene Mack. It is signed by Foxx in 7/8 pencil. The cardboard of the cover is torn and missing a small (1/2" square) chip where it was originally bound. There also 5 small tack holes around the perimeter and a moisture spot along the bottom edge. However, the images are super and signature clear. Comes with an LOA from JSA.
