Vintage Chicago Cardinals and Mint Washington Redskins pennants.
The Cardinals are the oldest existing football club in the U.S starting in 1898 as an amateur athletic club team in Chicago. They have persevered as a popular pro football team moving from Chicago to St. Louis in 1960 then to Arizona in 1988. Here is a a 27 1/2" pennant in soft "cardinal" red felt with contrasting white felt and graphics. Barely visible slight discoloration on lower left side of pennant does not detract from its overall EX condition. Washington Redskins pennant is from their Superbowl VII appearance in Los Angeles. A match they lost to the Miami Dolphins, 14-7. It is 29", with a red felt background, yellow lettering and fluorescent colored graphics of a rushing RB and the LA Memorial Coliseum. Condition is MT.
