The great Red Auerbach is featured in this 1960's photo collection (16) from his days as Boston Celtics Coach. Sizes range from 6" x 9" to 8 1/2" x 11". Conditions are mostly EG-NRMT with some newspaper edit markings. One wire photo shows Red puffing on a gigantic celebratory stogie after racking up his 1,000th victory in January, 1966. Another in EX-NRMT shows Red discussing strategy with Bil Russell in April, 1966, during the championship series with the Lakers. The wire caption makes reference to the pending announcement of Russell succeeding Auerbach as coach of the Celtics.
