Having difficulty gaining the respect that he deserved in Minnesota, Dennis Maruk’s rights were relinquished to the Washington Capitals early in the 1978-79 season. Maruk would prove his worth over the next five seasons in the nation’s capital before being traded back to Minnesota in 1983. Maruk’s offensive ability, speed, and precision were always impressive. His 90 points to lead the Capitals in scoring while wearing this Wilson manufactured 1978-79 jersey was equally impressive. One board burn and light stick marks smatter the left sleeve. Loop style fight strap sewn on in three places: on both numbers and in between on the jersey material. A couple light marks on the mark to note as well. Only nine players have scored more goals in a single season than Maruk’s 60.
