Handbills promoting the Beatles North American concerts are exceedingly rare, since newspaper and radio advertising were the standard mode of promotion for the shows. This example, by far the most appealing of the few known American handbills, promotes their D.C. Stadium appearance of August 15, 1966. Within two weeks of this concert, the group retired from touring. The yellow and translucent green handbill with sharp corners is twice creased across the upper half, with an additional crease across bottom right corner. Less than a half dozen of these are known!
