The first item in this collection is a super-rare original handbill advertising this concert as well as four other concerts: Herman's Hermits, The Dave Clark 5, The Kinks and The Moody Blues, THE BEATLES - August 15th, The New York Folk Festival with Phil Ochs, Chuck Berry, Johnny Cash, Muddy Waters, Mississippi John Hurt, others. Folded in thirds for mailing a few light stains (EX). The next item is a Loge reserved ticket stub for the concert that was laminated by the original owner. Next is the original mailing envelope that the tickets and the handbill was sent in, postmarked June 4th, 1965 and with Sid Bernstein Enterprises, Inc. return address. The next six items in this collection are black and white photos of the stadium taken by the fan at the show. They are poor photos taken from a distance but they add to the charm of this collection. A new world record for a pop concert was created when more than 55,000 fans attended this legendary outdoor concert at Shea Stadium, and the Beatles also set a world record with their $160,000 share of the $304,000 gross receipts.
