An interesting group of early first-generation photographs of important heavyweight fighters of the late 19th and early 20th century. Included is a beautiful mounted 4 ?” x 6 ?” studio photograph of Gus Ruhlin in period dress. The photo is in fine condition. There are six photographs of Tommy Burns, for the most part in square-off poses with opponents including Philadelphia Jack O’Brien, Marvin Hart, Jim Flynn and Hugo Kelly. Four other shots include Philadelphia Jack O’Brien, Robert Fitzsimmons, Jim Flynn. There is also a negative of Hart-Burns which we believe is not original and was likely made from a photo. A total of 12 pieces in overall excellent condition.
