This letter written by Ty Cobb, on Hotel Pontchartrain stationary, is addressed to Mr. Harry Hood. In it Cobb thanks the him for the pictures and indicates that he gave them to the "the boys", presumably his fellow Detroit Tigers. This piece shows a different, more polite, side of Cobb than the one on display on the diamond, where his will to win and competetive fire made him one of the most feared players in his era. The stationary has a tear at the upper mailing fold that has been repaired and some foxing around the edges, the writing and signature grade a remarkable 8/10. The letter comes with a LOA.
