This full-length racing uniform is an electrifying Marlboro red, and once enveloped the man whose name has become synonymous with auto racing in the United States and beyond - Mario Andretti. Worn during his 1970 Indy Car/ USAC campaign, the same year in which the champ won his second 12 hours of Sebring, and a year after his astonishing season in ’69, during which he won the Indianapolis 500. Clearly at the top of his game, this one-piece carries lots of Andretti class, and is in phenomenal shape, with nice use. Patches galore, including “Marlboro” and the “President’s Conference Physical Fitness & Sports” on breast pockets, “Firestone” on upper left chest, “STP” on shoulders, mid-back and on right upper chest above his chain-stitched name, and the garment’s manufacturer logo, “Elin Racing Apparel,” on upper left shoulder. “Elin” tag in collar, and “Firestone” embroidery on white plate on upper back. Ferocious find for any racing fan, and comes directly from Mario with his hand-signed LOA.
