This full-length racing uniform is an electrifying Marlboro red, and once enveloped the man whose name has become synonymous with auto racing in the United States and beyond - Mario Andretti. Worn during his 1970 Indy Car/ USAC campaign, the same year in which the champ won his second 12 hours of Sebring, and a year after his astonishing season in ’69, during which he won the Indianapolis 500. Clearly at the top of his game, this one-piece carries lots of Andretti class, and is in phenomenal shape, with nice use. Patches galore, including “Marlboro” and the “President’s Conference Physical Fitness & Sports” on breast pockets, “Firestone” on upper left chest, “STP” on shoulders, mid-back and on right upper chest above his chain-stitched name, and the garment’s manufacturer logo, “Elin Racing Apparel,” on upper left shoulder. “Elin” tag in collar, and “Firestone” embroidery on white plate on upper back.
