Coming within one win of matching their record of the previous season, the Montreal Canadiens once again rose to the top of their conference and were named the Prince of Wales Champions. The NHL presented this personal miniature to Guy Lafleur as a memento of the 1977-78 season. Four towering sticks rise from the wood base to support a silver plate cup with attached lid. A plaque on one side of the base reads "HRH Prince of Wales Trophy - Guy Lafleur." The opposing side is inscribed "NHL Champions - Montreal Canadiens - 1977-78." Slight damage to the lid is the only real flaw in terms of condition and can easily be replaced or repaired. Included is a LOA signed by Guy Lafleur.
