Gray flannel Pittsburgh Pirates jersey worn by catcher Toby Atwell during the 1954 season. "Pirates" is stitched across the front in black on gold tackle twill, the player number "61" is stitched on the back in black on yellow felt; the number has been changed from Atwell's original "11." Black and yellow piping is present on the collar and sleeves. Black "MacGregor" manufacturer's tag with size "42" in red stitched into the collar. Inside the front right tail is a small white flag tag with that reads "Set 1, 1954." Included is a pair of game-used gray flannel Pirates pants from 1956, likely belonging to Vern Law, white felt tag sewn in below the waist that has been embroidered in black with "32", "36" and "28" indicating the player number, size and inseam, respectively. Also sewn into the waist is a black "MacGregor" manufacturer's tag with size "36" and a small white tag that reads "Set 1, 1956." Nice overall wear, appears to be all-original with the exception of the number change.
