We remeber Seth talking about one day selling his massive collection. He did in fact sell part of his collection of signed 3x5’s and goverment postcards in one of our auctions two years ago, as a massive single lot, knowing how important it was to keep it intact. It was his desire to keep the collection together. Talking with Seth over the past years, he would tell us that if he ever sold the remainder of his collection, he would do so in the same manner, intact and un-picked. After his passing, we offer for sale his collection and inventory, exactly as he would have done it. The majority of the collection is baseball, with some Americana autographs as well. The collection consists of: signed Yellow Hall of Fame Plaques (25) including Frick, Frisch, Grove, Hooper, Haines (2), McCarthy, Marquard, and Ruffing. Signed Baseball Photos (13) including S. Landis, Manush, Conlan, Cronin, Gehringer, Hoyt, Kell, Kiner, Hooper, McCarthy, D. DiMaggio, Lasorda, Giles, Conlan, Lindstrom, Lee MacPhail, Marquard, G. Perry, Reese, Roberts, B. Robinson, Slaughter, Roberts, T. John, and a few other non-Hall of Famers. Signed Typed Baseball Letters (4) including Speaker, Sisler, Marvin Miller, Carey (questionarre), Stoneham, and some other non-Hall of Famers. Baseball Checks: Stengel, Rixey, Marvin Miller (stamped). A contract signed twice by both Will Harridge and Billy Evans. Massive baseball 3x5 signed collection with some Government Postcards (400 +) including Babe Ruth (1923 3x5” album page), 1957 Roger Maris (goverment postcard) Alston (2), Bancroft, Combs, Frick (2), Frisch (3), Haines (3), Hartnett, Hooper (3), Manush (2), Kellert, Ott (2, album page and government postcard), Rolfe, E. Bonham, Blanton, Marvin Miller (2), Vance, Paige (3), Goslin (17), Arky Vaughn, Grove, D. Dean (2), 1972 Mike Schmidt, Flick, Greenberg, Schalk (5), Walsh, Harridge (2), Billy Evans, McKechnie, Rickey (2), Veeck (2), Griffith, Jackie Robinson, Duffy, Rixey, Chylak, Ted Williams, B. Signatures and items are for the most part EX-MT or better, with many NRMT or better. Also included is Seth’s collection (a binder full) of vintage and newer Baseball Hall of Fame programs and tickets, one of his personal favorites to collect. Last but not least, some other unsigned photos and a single signed Frank Robinson baseball. A great collection assembled by an even greater person, the late Seth Boyd, our friend!
