The last and largest of the first wave of steel and concrete ballparks built in the 1909-1915 era, Braves Field was home to the Boston Braves from 1915-1952. The careers of HOFers Eddie Mathews and Warren Spahn started there. In 1942, Jim Tobin hit three consecutive home runs while pitching the Braves to a victory. This large blue heavy cotton pennant flag measures over seven feet long with "Braves" stitched on in white linen letters. It is the very last flag that every flew over the storied ballpark, on September 21, 1952 and for quite a time up to that date. Two-piece flag that has been stitched together, two grommets on the white end strip for mounting. Flag is EXMT with tremendous wear but no damage.
