Due to wartime restrictions after the attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941, the 1942 Rose Bowl was moved from Pasadena, Calif. to Duke Stadium in Durham, N.C. Oregon St. won its only Rose Bowl title that year with a 20-16 victory over Duke.
