One of the mainstays of the A's championship teams of 1971 to 1975, the diminutive but highly disruptive Campy terrorized opposing pitchers with his quick bat and even faster feet. His "home" white Oakland Athletics pullover with Kelly green & yellow striped trim was worn during the 1973 season. Outstanding in terms of wear and display quality, with “A’s” sewn in yellow on green tackle twill on the front and “Campaneris” across the back in green lettering abovr his number “19”. Collar tagging is “McAuliffe” with [size] "38" tag below and the front inner tail is sewn with the year, “1973” tag with care tag directly under. On the outside of the front tail an embroidered “Campaneris 19” (the “1” was removed and penciled back in) was added by a hobbyist after the garment's retirement. By far, this is the finest jersey we have ever seen from the beloved Cuban shortstop. Once part of the esteemed Frank Fleizach collection.
