As is chronicled on the back of this sheet music for the 1956 song “I Love Mickey,” the inspired writer for the song, fan Teresa Brewer, states, “That Mantle is terrific! Y’know, someone ought to write a song about him.” With help from professionals Ruth Roberts and Bill Katz, that’s exactly what she did.
