A lump in the throat and a sigh accompany viewing of this 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers team-signed baseball. The hide has browned nicely with the ages -- but the memories glitter still of the Bums finally ending the stranglehold of the Yankees by beating them in the World Series for Brooklyn's first and only championship. Each panel between the seams is a voyage into deep Nostalgia Land: Jackie Robinson, Roy Campanella, Walt Alston, Jim Gilliam, Johnny Podres, Dixie Howell, Russ Meyer, Don Newcombe, Tom Lasorda, Clem Labine, Rube Walker, Joe Black, Ed Roebuck, Sandy Amoros, Don Hoak, and Frank Kellert are all present and accounted for in blue ink that grades as 7/10. The autographs stand out wonderfully, just like the Boys of Summer who wrote them. The Official National League sphere (Warren Giles) is VG-EX. Brooklyn's finest for sure!
