A few years before his election into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1938, hurler extraordinaire Cy Young wrote this four page letter on January 14 of either 1934 or 1935 (both numbers are written over each other at top of correspondence) to a Mr. Foley. Written the wrong way, bottom to top across the vertical lines of loose-leaf paper, with black fountain pen, the eternal record holder speaks of some baseball goings-on, mentioning previous teammate Bill Bradley from when he shortly played for the Cleveland Indians in 1909 -10. Young was in his late 60’s when he wrote this, and his vivacity and apparent involvement with the game of baseball is amazing. Pages include sharp edges, a few stains, and two folds per page as would be expected in a folded, sent letter. Comes with LOA
