Purchased from the Ruppert estate in 1945 by Dan Topping and company, the Yankees, under his watchful eye, would win ten World Championships during his reign. Though, despite his twenty-two year career, few signature specimens exist from the possible Hall of Famer, and only a handful of single signed balls have ever even been seen. We offer one of those very rare examples direct from the collection of hobby legend Jim Armstrong. In blue ballpoint, Topping has signed the sweet spot of this "Official Pro League" baseball in 10/10 ink. Later penned by Armstrong with, "Dan Topping Gen Mgr Yanks 1966" along the side panel and coated with a thin layer of shellac. EX.
