An all-green seated fragment from the legendary Polo Grounds of New York City, this re-painted (to a fern green) chair was home to fans of the Giants, and the Mets (as well as the Yanks for a short time, and football’s Giants and Jets), and certainly has seen its share of dazzling plays, including Bobby Thompson’s “Shot heard ‘round the World” in 1951, and Mays’ “The Catch” from the 1954 World Series (the Giants last WS title). All-original wood is bordered and held together by iron stanchions, on which the mystical figural “NY” decorates one side. The # “1” is stenciled in white on top slat. Good for posture and prosperity at the Polo Grounds.
