It is arguably the most significant event in the history of sports and its repercussions continue to be felt to this day. In the year 1947 Jackie Robinson bravely broke the color barrier and changed not only the face of the game but the country itself. Offered is a team signed baseball from that very season signed by the Rookie of the Year and twenty-eight of his Dodger teammates. Joining Jackie are Reese, Hodges, Lavagetto, Reiser, Furillo, Jorgensen, Walker, Vaughan, and Edwards. Their blue and black fountain pen signatures vary in quality with those done in blue having lightened more significantly than their darker counterparts. Collectively they grade as 5/10 but most importantly Robinson's has remained a strong 7/10. The ball itself has toned evenly and the ONL (Frick) stampings have faded somewhat. VG-EX.
