An enormous tome, this golden “official report” of the Los Angeles Games of 1932, the 10th Olympiad and 2nd hosted by the United States (the 1st was in St. Louis), is an epic overview that documents everything from the organization of the Games, to the results of all contests, and includes thorough information under chapters such as stadium administration, medical service, training arrangements, opening ceremonies, as well as a chapter on each sport and its participants. This hard-bound volume is EX-MT, but for one small chip out of the spine. Measures roughly 9 ? x 12”, and, like the Olympics themselves, presents as both dignified and sweeping.
