This 1? government postcard has come a long way, especially when its signer happens to be legendary American Icon and Yankee home run king Babe Ruth! Addressed to Mary Black of 1500 Biddle, Wyandotte, Michigan, this 5 ? x 3 ?, manila-toned postcard is in great shape, with only some slight off-coloring. Its New York, New York postmarking is gorgeously clean and very readable, dated "Feb. 11, 8 - PM, 1937." Not two years after his retirement from baseball, and one year after his selection into The Baseball Hall of Fame, the Babe signed his autograph, "Sincerely, Babe Ruth,” on the flipside of this post, and it's a beauty, grading a 9/10.
