They are the three biggest names in the history of America's pastime, men who not only excelled between the white chalk lines of the diamond, but revolutionized the way the sport was played. Together they raised the status of professional athletes to unimaginable heights in American culture and because of all this they will never be forgotten. Offered is an Official National Amateur Baseball Federation baseball signed by Babe Ruth (sweet spot), Ty Cobb, and Tris Speaker during the MLB Reunion Gala of 1948. Their autographs, each graded a "7" out of possible "10", all demonstrate the unique signing style of the author with perfect form and fluidity, and would have been awarded a higher grade had the fountain pen with which they signed not been short on ink. This problem is most evident in the Cobb signature which appears Ty had to trace over. The surface of the ball has darkened slightly with age, but can be considered as EX+-EX-MT. At a later date, most likely the early eighties, a fourth icon personally added his name to the list of legends...Hank Aaron. His 9/10 blue ink signature rests on the side panel, left of Ruth's mark, completing one of the finest autographed spheres available today. A one of a kind indeed!
