Historical for so many reasons, Super Bowl II marked not only Green Bay's third consecutive NFL championship but also the final game in the illustrious coaching career of Vince Lombardi. During his final sixty minutes on the sideline he, with the help of MVP Bart Starr, co-authored one of the greatest stories in the history of the game. Offered is one of just a small handful of Official NFL (Rozelle) "DUKE" footballs used in play that evening on January 14, 1968. Obtained directly from its original owner who himself was given this incredible keepsake by a member of the press who covered the game (this lot includes his handwritten LOA). The ball displays phenomenal game use and the white print which once read, "1968 Super Bowl-Green Bay 33-Oakland 14" has deteriorated but is still somewhat legible. Simply amazing!
