The numerous inscriptions on this ONL baseball transport the viewer back to that late autumn meeting nearly eighty years ago. On that day, the top two teams in the division battled for bragging rights and momentum. The side panel reads, "13 Innings-Sept 26-1927, Cincinnati Reds-1 St. Louis Cards-3", written adjacent to, "This ball made the last put out of the game-Frisch to Bottomley". Signed by Haines, Frisch, Blades, Bottomley, Sherdel, and others in blue ballpoint that grades a "5" out of possible "10" overall. The ball's surface of this heavily and evenly toned, with no sign of the original stamping, in Good condition overall.
