The 1968 Lew Alcindor Mira Tuttosport PSA 4 VG-EX is the true Rookie card of basketball legend Lew Alcindor. This card is extremely rare and was produced in very limited quantities. It predates his 1969 Topps rookie by one full year. The card was issued in Italy and shows Alcindor in his Power Memorial High School uniform! It has only been graded four times by PSA, and only 1 is graded higher (a PSA 6). These cards when found are often in very poor condition with damage to the reverse because they were intended to be affixed to an album. Furthermore the cards were made of substandard cardboard stock. Although it is graded a PSA 4 VG-EX, this card has no back damage and is crease and wrinkle free, just some light wear to the corners and the card is oc (t/b). An excellent addition to any advanced basketball card collection.
