Bill from Doctor W.H. Sisson to Jim Thorpe dated November 1, 1927 has short note in pencil by the Great One: "Dear Doctor nearly forgot this, but here's the two bucks. Thanks, Jim Thorpe". Writing and signature rate at least an 8 of 10 in quality. Vertical mailing fold does not detract. Also includes original envelope, all in Thorpe's hand, with another full signature in upper left. LOA from Sisson's daughter is provided as well. Two nice, early autographs of this sporting legend, as most signatures of his that pop up are from his later years.
