Terrific collection of 33 original drawings from the mid 1930's, each vintage signed the actor or actress depicted. The drawings were done by William Reynolds, and are in pencil, charcoal and colored pencil. The 9 x 12" illustrations are quite nice, and feature inscriptions/autographs from Clark Gable 1936, Jim Cagney, Ginger Rogers 1936, Spencer Tracy 1938, Joan Crawford, Robert Taylor, Mae West, James Stewart, Dick Powell, Jean Arthur, Eleanor Powell, Richard Dix, Irene Dunne, Janet Gaynor, Claudette Colbert, Virginia Bruce, Dolores Del Rio, Constance Bennett, Ronald Coleman, Jeanette MacDonald, Myrna Loy, Joan Blondell, Ann Sothern, Marion Davies, Alice Faye, Edward Arnold, Melvyn Douglas 1937, Kay Francis, Jean Arthur, Simone Simon, Robert Montgomery, Tom Brown and Gladys Swarthout. Nearly all of the writing is in black fountain pen, with a few in pencil. Signatures are generally strong. Most of the drawings are EX, with several having tattered edges. Also in the collection are a few vintage signed photographs, with Ginger Rogers, Eleanor Powell, Janet Gaynor, Irene Dunne and Richard Dix. A wonderful, fresh group originally purchased at auction in the 1970's, that has incredible breakup value.
