In 1903, The Boston Red Sox (known as the Pilgrims then) won the first ever World Series. Their home record was an astonishing 49-20-1. Buck Freeman smacked 13 homers which at that time was a record. The record stood for 16 years until the Babe broke it. Cy Young led the league with a 28-9 record, recording seven shutouts. The Pilgrims would go on to win the A:L by 14 1/2 games over Connie Mack's Athletics. We are proud to offer this amazing relic that is in phenomenal condition commemorating this first World Series. It is a season ticket book and all seventy home game tickets are intact! This should be attractive to both collectors of early Red Sox and baseball history, collectors of tickets and possible investors looking to break up the book into individual pieces. Front of ticket book (4 x 2-1/4") has engraved, "Boston Base Ball Club of American League Season 1903 (15)." Inside front cover says, “All Detached Tickets Will Be Void Compliments ... Boston Base Ball Club...of American League For The Season of 1903 No. 15 Admitting H.A. Frothingham." Four tearaway tickets per page. A truly great Red Sox and baseball memento stored for over 100 years and kept like new.
