They called him the Assassin because he was one of the hardest hitters in NFL history, as well as college, where he helped Ohio State to a national title. Oakland drafted him in the first round and he was an immediate impact player and eventually a Hall of Famer. Jersey is from his rookie season and it's a rare #31, later cutoff and used for practice. "31" on front, back, and on both sleeves. "Tatum" stitched onto the top of the back. He wore #32 for most of his career. The thought of this guy made wide receivers quiver.
