John Fogerty said, “Duane Eddy was the front guy, the first rock & roll guitar god.” Eddy is an American guitarist best known for his twangy guitar style and Billboard Magazine named him the number one rock and roll instrumentalist of all time. In the 50’s and 60’s he churned out 24 hits. “Rebel Rouser” was the one that propelled him to the forefront of the music world and his “Peter Gunn” remains a radio staple to this day. In June 2004, he was presented with Guitar Player Magazine’s “Legend” Award. The only one to receive it before him was Les Paul. Poster (20 X 30”) offered here is from Eddy’s performance at the Gaiety Ballroom in Wales, circa mid-60’s. One of the other acts on the bill is “The Other Two” that consisted of two British women, one of whom married Mr. Eddy.
