Stunning collection of 55 Chicago Cubs photographs are mostly from the personal collection of Cubs great Charlie Root. There is some amazing stuff here not available to the public, only presented to players. About half of it incredibly enough, is oversized material, as big as 11x14”. There are some stunning portraits, George Burke’s of his teammates (as big as 11x14”) and many other Burke quality studio portraits. Some of the greats: Root and Hartnett, Riggs Stephenson, Jimmy Gleason, several Charlie Root Day, fabulous portrait of the Wrigley Family, great oversized Wrigley Field image, pair of amazing photos (as good as they get) of Billy Herman and Kiki Cuyler, other great Gabby Hartnett’s, 1937 Tony Lazzeri in bear costume (just got traded to Cubs), and a superb collection of smaller photos of the Cubs in spring training including Hack Wilson (2) and Rogers Hornsby among others.
