Oh slammed 868 home runs in Japan. Originally a pitcher, he was switched to first base, but was unable to handle the curve ball until he took up samurai swordsmanship as a practice method the curve was no longer a problem and he was on his way to the top and averaged 45 HR a year in winning 13 consecutive HR titles. Kabaya-Leaf is the most famous and prized set of Japanese baseball cards because it was the only major card set produced during the late 1960s and early 1970s and because they were the first Japanese cards that resembled American baseball cards. Japanese legend at bottom of card against an orange background. The Oh card was #11 out of the 105 cards in the set. This is one of the highest known Sadaharu Ohs to exist. PSA 6 EX-MT.
