Over 18 seasons, outfielder and occasional first baseman Edd Roush had 2376 hits, and compiled a lifetime .323 batting average. The Hall of Famer played for the winning Cincinnati Reds during the infamous 1919 “Black Sox” World Series. This circa 1920 photograph is one of the finest known of Roush, and strikingly captures his dignity and determination. A small chip off the upper left corner, otherwise the 5” x 7” photo is NRMT.
