1915 Anti-Suffrage Baseball Booklet, 3” x 6”, 16pp. Provides NY Giants and NY Yankees home and away game schedules, as well as NL and AL records from the previous year. Opposing voting rights for women, planned for the State ballot in 1915, the booklet is filled with intense rhetoric such as “... granting of the franchise forces women into politics, and the political woman has proved herself a menace to society, to the home and to the State.” Some nice inside photos of ballplayers, including Christy Mathewson, provide some needed relief. Women of course won the big game in 1920. Extremely scarce; this is, in fact, the first anti-suffrage baseball item that we’ve seen. Has light crease at one corner and minor paper clip stain o/w EX-MT.
