Teddy Ballgame was the perfect pitchman for Moxie soft drinks, since no one ever had more of the stuff -- Moxie, that is; we don’t know if he actually drank the popular New England soda brand -- than the daunting ex-fighter pilot. Classic full-color die-cut ad display from the late ‘50s, when he was nearing the end of the line, depicts a grinning Williams pointing a finger to make the point stated in the baseball to his right: “Ted Williams Says: Drink Moxie.” Terrific period piece is immortalized by a big and bold Williams signature in blue, slightly-runny Sharpie right across the middle. Sig is 8/10 and comes with LOA. Display has a separate cut of Williams, the ball and a fence beneath mounted on blue matte and mesuring 13.25 x 16.5”. Missing the easel back. Appears EX-MT but upon closer inspection a crease can be seen going through the head portion of the sign.
