This 1st year knit was worn by Tigers coach Joe Schultz during the 1972 season. Schultz served as a coach on Tigers staff from 1971-76 and managed the team for part of the 1973 season. He was also the manager of the 1969 Seattle Pilots. This home white seven (7) button jersey has the classic Tigers "D" logo in navy on the left breast. Navy trim goes from front jersey bottom around button area and aroung to back collar area. Front tail tag reads "44-72-2" in navy stitching on a white tag. Inside collar tag reads "Wilson 44" with cleaning instructions. Back of jersey has "Schultz" and "51" emboidered in navy.
