Rare action from Princeton’s 1893 undefeated season on a 3 x 6" cardboard card with stereo optic photography, a popular late 1800’s technique in which 2 images were presented with a slightly different view, imitating the way the eyes see (though here the images seem exactly identical). "Strohmeyer & Wyman Publishers, NY" on left and "Sold only by Underwood & Underwood" on right, with a caption beneath the right image: "Making a Touchdown – Princeton Football Team, the champions of ‘93". Piece is G with a good bit of foxing and staining that adds more depth to its obvious vintage quality.
