Lenny's long sought-after first book, "Stamp Help Out" (1961), a whacked-out melange of irreverent, sacreligious and scatological stories, skits and photos, including the self-parodying satire "The Pot Smokers" which played off the ignorance and fear surrounding weed smokers of the day. The book was self-published (never formally published) to sell at his concerts and performances. This is NOT the later printing that had profanities X'd out after Lenny feared the book would be used against him in his obscenity trials. He even ordered Lawrence Ferlinghtetti to destroy the copies he'd given him for his book store! VG-EX (not that it matters much) with coffee-cup stains on the blue and white cover (of Lenny smashing toilets), near-pristine pages. You may get queasy at the photo of a nude Lenny on the toilet -- an eerie augury of how he died.
