Looking at this knee brace worn by Vladimir Guerrero during his Expo days may make a few Met fans cringe in pain more than Vlad ever did. It was the tricky knee protected by the brace that led the typically astute Met front office to shy away from signing Guerrero as a free agent last season, when he instead went to the Angels and won the MVP award. The blue Benik brace was signed by Mad Vlad with his #29 in black marker, grading a 7/10. Vlad clearly came to rely on it, as it is coated with caked-in soil and has a very well worn Velcro strap.
