An example of how much more respected black ballplayers were outside of the U.S. is this series of 4 very rare Cuban paper-bound books from 1953-1956 titled "El Negro en el Beisbol Norteamericano." Each book highlights with articles and photos great former Negro League players in the big leagues like Willie Mays, Roy Campanella, Monte Irvin and of course Jackie Robinson, along with some homegrown stars who played in the Negro leagues and made it to the show, like Rafael Noble and Minnie Minoso (seen sliding into home in a cloud of dirt on the '56 cover). Books run around 10 pages and are about EX overall.
