Not just sports fans and college kids tacked pennants on their walls. Maybe Baby Face Nelson did, too. These rare felt pennants with the names of America's toughest "pens" -- which may have produced either a "team spirit" or a good laugh in the "hole" -- have never before been seen by us. Believed to be from the '40s or '50s, they include Devils Island (red/white with "devil" figure), Sing Sing (purple/gold with con holding "Please don't Disturb" sign), San Quentin (black/gold with "Rock Pile" drawing), and Alcatraz (green/white with ball-and-chained con). Three have the original owner's name (perhaps an inmate) and the Sing Sing pennant has a curious stamping reading "Hitler." Make of that what you will. All pennants EX.
