This rare T217 Mono card of Bert Delmas shows how minor-leaguers got the major-league treatment during the old Pacific Coast League days. Delmas played for the "original" Los Angeles Angels, and as a farm teamer in this 1911 issue, he was grouped with starlets in this rather exclusive set of trading cards, which totaled 200, with 25 portraying PCL players. The 1.5" x 2 5/8" card features Delmas striking a leading-man pose in his L.A. uniform with snazzy white belt. The back reads: "Mono Turkish Blend Cigarettes. 200 Portraits Selected from Leading Actresses and Base Ball Players. 10 for 5 Cents." EX.
